Cheerleading is an amazing activity which not only teaches children a wide range of skills such as dance, gymnastics and acrobatics, but it also promotes discipline, confidence, self-awareness and teamwork. Children have a lot of fun learning all aspects of this activity in a safe environment through games, exercises and challenges, with fully qualified cheerleading coaches from Space City Zoo.

Taster Day
A one-off cheerleading lesson that will cover the basics of arm motions, dance, jumping and stunting for the older girls. This is great for them to try this fantastic sport, and to find out if they would like to continue cheerleading on a regular basis as a weekly activity.
'Soft' Cheerleading Classes
As a 'soft' approach, the classes would run by term without any pressure of having to carry on through to the next term. We would run a weekly session for a term, of 1 hour 30 minutes per week. The class would cover the basics of cheerleading, for pupils to see if they would be interested in taking part as a competitive sport in the future, and work towards a show at an end of term assembly. This would require a minimum of 8 and maximum of 16 participants per class.
Competition Squad
For girls that are interested in competing and being committed to cheerleading and representing the school in the sporting community. This class could run as a 90 minute or 2 hour session per week and require a minimum of 12 and maximum of 20 participants per class. An example of possible competitions could be the yearly Future Cheer International Championships in early July, In Brighton:
