Why Cheerleading? Getting Started

Cheerleading is an amazing activity which not only teaches various disciplines of movement such as dance, gymnastics and acrobatics, but it is an incredibly fun social activity which helps to develops teammwork and collaboration skills and also helps you child to improve their confidence and self-discipline.

If you are interested in organising cheerleading lessons in you area, these are the steps which you should take:

1) Ask around if there would be an interest amongst your community
2) Elect one (or two) representatives which would like to be responsible for organising / leading the cheerleading project from an administration point of view.
3) Find out if there is a hall available with relatively high ceilings, and  mats or storage space for mats.
4) If there is no hall with mats already, try and see if you can get hold of about 20 4cm 'tatami' mats (used for martial arts)
5) Let us know what days / times would be convenient for you - weekends, especially sunday afternoons are always a good time.
